- How long will my organic edible flowers last?
The blooms will last up to between 10 – 15 days, with marigolds lasting up to 21 days.
- What should I do when I receive my blooms?
Upon receiving the blooms, unwrap the packaging and open the punnets. Gently remove the blemished blooms, gently clean them off and store in an airtight container. It’s recommended to keep the edibles cool and refrigerated to preserve their freshness.
- When will I receive my blooms?
An order confirmation is sent via an automated response to the owner of The Sweetest Petal. The order is then confirmed. Provided there is a date for the punnets to be delivered, we will do our best to ensure the best and/or requested blooms are available for the order; to be posted at least 2 days in advance to ensure timely delivery. Otherwise, the order will be posted within 24 hours.
- What if there are bugs in my blooms?
Although we try our utmost to prevent bugs from making their way to the flowers, there are times when we can’t prevent a few from getting included in the assortment. These are natural critters and most definitely not harmful in any way.
We do not recommend washing or soaking delicate blooms, rather dusting them off lightly.
- How do I use the edible flowers?
Before using the blooms, gently remove the stamens and styles from the middle of the flowers. This is where the pollen from the flower is stored, which attracts the bees. Those also have the potential to agitate allergies, asthma or hay fever.
